Dog owners don't always have the opportunity to take nice photos of their dogs before they leave us.
In such cases it is really a big challenge to create a drawing, as the templates are often blurry, poorly exposed or simply old, so that important image information is missing that is actually needed to be able to create a realistic image of the animal.
As an artist you should always be aware of what you want to do and what you are capable of achieving, but I know from experience that it is often difficult to say no. 😅
Bagheera was indeed such a case. Luckily, various breed pictures helped to recreate details that couldn't be seen so well in the photo.
I just always really hope that the drawing shows the animal as it was when it was alive, in order to create as beautiful a memory as possible. 💕
